Confession time- I have never made Porridge Fingers before today. I have been meaning to for ages but I've never got round to it before. I took the basic recipe from the BLW book and did some experimenting. I will share the method and results below. This makes up three batches and each batch makes about 4-5 fingers.
Recipe for a Trio of Porridge Fingers

* Originally I cooked this with the raisins and it was fine but I made it again today and the raisins burnt and tasted bitter and ruined it basically. I'm not sure why because I didn't do anything different that I know of so I've changed it to adding the raisins after it's cooked. |
Method- Berry
My children have informed me that the raisin ones were their favorites but they all vanished pretty quickly. In terms of cutting up I found the berry ones to be the least solid and the banana ones to cut up the best. I hope you enjoy these simple healthy fingers- they make a great breakfast, snack or treat.
