You might think that spoons go against the whole concept of Baby Led Weaning but a lot of people offer their babies loaded spoons so they can enjoy more liquid foods like yoghurt and porridge as well. The spoons I am recommending have been selected for the purpose of self-feeding based on advice from other Baby Led Weaning mums.

Plates and Bowls
A lot of people just put their baby's food straight onto the feeding tray on the high chair. However, if you can't quite cope with that or for when your baby is a bit older you will probably want to use quite shallow wide bowls and plates so your baby can get their food themselves. You might also like to consider bowls and plates with suction so that your little one can't throw their plate- it might help minimise the mess...a little bit.
